Warren Pancake

Warren Lane Pancake, 93, of Dayville, Oregon, passed away on September 4, 2026, at his residence.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Driskill Memorial Chapel, John Day, Oregon.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sandstone Chapel, Dayville, Oregon. The interment will be at the Dayville Cemetery, Dayville, Oregon.

Warren was born August 23, 1933, in Atwood, Kansas, to Lloyd and Viola (Grout) Pancake. He graduated from high school in Atwood, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. He studied radiology. He also served in the United States Air Force.

On December 20, 1953, Warren married Ardis Voorhies in a double-ring ceremony held at the home of Ardis’s grandmother, Ms. Lillian Antholz. They welcomed their daughter, Danita, in 1956. Together, Warren and Ardis shared 57 years before her death in September 2011.

He worked for the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 45 years as a literature evangelist colporteur and head literature evangelist. In this role, he sold and distributed religious literature.

He was affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In his later years, he enjoyed watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ardis Pancake, and his parents, Lloyd and Viola Pancake.
