Reba Berry Obituary (1954

Reba A. Berry, 61, of Mt. Vernon passed away March 15, 2016 at Blue Mountain Hospital in John Day. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Moon Creek Cemetery. Pastor David Drury will officiate. A potluck reception will follow at the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in John Day. Reba was born on October 5, 1954 to Arther and Edna (Hammons) Dickens in John Day, Oregon. She attended Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, Oregon, and on June 12, 1970 Reba married Steven Wayne Berry in Mt. Vernon, Oregon. Reba spent time working as a childcare provider, cook, assisted in transporting patients, worked with exchange students, and spent time at home raising their two sons. She enjoyed crafting, camping, raising animals, and spending time with her family and friends; she was also member of the Baptist church. She is survived by her husband Steven Berry of Mt. Vernon, OR., sons Todd Berry of John Day, OR., Richie Berry of Prineville, OR., granddaughters Jessica Williams of Prairie City, OR., Henley Berry of Prineville, OR., Amanda Berry of Portland, OR., brothers Elmer (Jan) Dickens of Mt. Vernon, OR., Wayne Dickens and Marilyn Raymond of Mt. Vernon, OR., Ted Dickens of Mt. Vernon, OR., sisters Carolyn (Jim) Lenz of Boise, ID., Barbara (Larry) Palmer of Mt. Vernon, OR., Linda (Lyle) McCumber of Mt. Vernon, OR., 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Arther and Edna Dickens, Sister Helen Marie, and grandson Boone Berry.
