Mary Marciel

Mary Marciel, 89, of Mount Vernon, Oregon, passed away at her residence on August 20, 2025.

Mary Yvonne was born on November 14, 1935, in Yuma, Arizona, to Arthur and Hazel (Smiley) Carns. She graduated from Livermore High in California.

She married Francis Marciel on February 18, 1956, in Livermore, California. Their union lasted for 54 years until Francis’s passing in 2010 and was graced with three children, Sheryl, Joanne, and John.

She enjoyed her call as a rancher’s wife as well as hunting and fishing with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Wishard of Prairie City and Joanne Hansen of Mount Vernon; her son, John Marciel, of Mount Vernon, six grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Francis Marciel.
