Margie Mae Round

Margie Mae Round, 94, of Dayville died Friday February 26th at the Blue Mountain Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday March 2nd at the Dayville Cemetery at 1:00 PM. A potluck will follow at the Dayville Community Church.

Margie was born on November 5, 1921 in Elgin, Oregon to Edgar Coffin and Zada Gordon. She attended Imbler High School and Eastern Oregon University where she received her teaching degree. On July 17, 1943 she married Kenneth Round on Pumpkin Ridge. She was taught at the Monument, Long Creek, and Dayville Schools from 1954-1976.

She enjoyed gardening, word puzzles, playing cards, reading, and baking. She was very active in the Dayville Community Church, and after she retired she continued to play piano for the church and school programs.

She is survived by son Dave Round, 6 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Round, daughter Diane Haefer, and son Dennis Round.
