Arthur "AJ" Wayne Dickens IV, 13, of Mt. Vernon, Oregon passed way Thursday December 10th at Blue Mountain Hospital. A funeral service will be held Friday December 18th at the Mt. Vernon Community Hall at 2:00 PM; a private interment will follow the service.\n\nAJ, and his twin sister, were born on June 6, 2002 to Arthur "Art" Wayne Dickens III and Janice Lynn Dickens in Bend, Oregon. AJ attended 7th grade at the Grant Union High School.\n\nAJ was an avid video gamer, lego builder, and was an excellent fisherman catching many trophy fish. He was granted a Make-a-wish trip to San Diego where he went to Sea World and LegoLand; he was also able to accompany his family on a trip to England. He attended MDA camp every year in McCal, Idaho, and was also a very active 4-H member.\n\nHe is survived by his parents Art and Janice Dickens of Mt. Vernon, OR sisters Erika Dickens and Megan (Ty) Workman of Bates, Oregon.\n\nHe is preceded in death by his brother, Taner Gilliam.\n\nMemorial Contributions may be made to the Old West Federal Credit Union in honor of AJ Dickens.
